Available in 2wd or 4wd and in three trims, the yukon seats up to nine passengers and is rated to tow up to 8500 pounds when equipped with the heavy-duty trailering package on the 4x2 model. The sle and slt trims both come with a 355-hp 5. 3-liter flexfuel v8 engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. The denali trims come with a 420-hp 6. 2-liter flexfuel v8 and the same six-speed automatic as the 5. 3l. Both engines use cylinder deactivation, direct injection and continuously variable valve timing to maximize power and efficiency. A host of new advanced safety features are now standard on the slt and denali trims which include forward collision alert, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert and side blind zone alert.
